The city is looking wonderfully festive already and I couldn't help getting into the Christmas spirit by dressing like a candy cane to go shopping for Christmas ornaments! I bought this dress three years ago when I first started dressing vintage reproduction, and it has become a bit of Christmas tradition that I wear this dress throughout the festive season. This dress is special for another reason, as it is one of the first few dresses that I bought when I was first discovering vintage reproduction. It's funny because it says a lot about the fact my style really hasn't changed in the last few years, while my wardrobe however, has expanded!
Love the candy cane dress, you match the ornaments in the first photo!
ReplyDeleteYou are the cutest candy cane girl :)
ReplyDeleteThat dress is stunning. I'm the girl who said hi to you on the bus from South Bank! I was a bit star struck to be honest :)
ReplyDeleteHiya Rosie! I was totally stunned that someone in Brisbane knew my blog - no one has ever come up to me before so I hope you can forgive me for being so shy and tongue tied! It was lovely to meet you, your Hell Bunny dress that you were wearing was gorgeous!
DeleteGorgeous dress, it looks so striking on you.
ReplyDeleteWhite and red dresses were made for you - so pretty! Very cute little kitten heels too. I love that you always dress for the occasion, something I would love to do as good as you do!
ReplyDeleteI love this dress! It has a wonderful simplicity about it. It's a perfect winter dress for a hot Australian winter:)

ReplyDeleteSplendidly sweet Christmas dress! My (new) Christmas frock for this year (from Blue Velvet Vintage's house line of 50s style frocks) is red and white, too. We're going to be doing a shoot with it later this month and I can hardly wait!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs from snowy Penticton (the first from my new computer :)),

What a lovely dress you're wearing! It must be so odd to have Christmas without snow, I couldn't possibly imagine it.
