Memoirs of a Geisha

Dress - Bernie Dexter - on sale at the moment, get it here!
Shoes - Betts
Parasol - gift
When I bought this beautiful dress last year I was hoping to save it for a future trip to Japan - and while that probably won't be happening for a long time yet, one day I would love to wear this dress in Kyoto and meet real Geisha. I have always been enthralled by the beauty and grace that Geisha possess and their intricate hair and makeup. I think the Geisha on this dress are just as stunning as their real life counterparts, with heavenly vibrant kimonos and cherry blossoms in their hair.

  5. These are such wonderful pictures. In the first one, you remind me of Cicely Barker's Willow Fairy. Willow tree's are very special. There is just something so serene and comforting about them. Peaceful photographs:) Beautiful as always:))

  6. So gorgeous! I haven't stopped by your blog lately, I just realized. But you look beautiful, and the funny thing is that I've never loved this particular print of hers until now! You can really see how pretty it is in these photos!

  7. What an incredibly lovely, tranquil backdrop amongst which to pose in this equally beautiful Bernie dress. I've never stood in the prescience of live bamboo. It's something I'd certainly like to do one day, especially now that you've shown what a marvelous backdrop it makes for vintage fashion shoots.

We do have a very pretty little Japanese rock and greenery garden in our town (which is sister cities with a town in Japan) though and one of these days I'll have to do a shoot there (Tony and I have been saying as much for the better part of two years now, so it's high time we did so in 2014).

Sweet dear, I sincerely want to thank you for your tremendously lovely, comment on today's Edwardian-esque ensemble post. It started my morning off on a note as a high as stars.

Tons of hugs from snowy Canada,
    ♥ Jessica
