Wild Strawberries and Gingham

Gingham, strawberries and the countryside may be a huge cliche together, but this is exactly how my week has been and I couldn't be happier. The fields and the forest is full of wild strawberries now and I have gone into a frenzy collecting (and eating) as many as I can before they disappear. Wild strawberries may look similar to the regular variety but they are entirely different in taste and smell, a delicious combination of sweet and tart and so much more flavorsome. I've been enjoying them on their own, and sprinkled on top of ice cream.

  12. Splendidly pretty outfit and setting - I love those shoes. Love, love, love them!!! How fun that you encountered some wild strawberries. Annie I spotted both wild blueberries and, much to my surprise, raspberries on our latest walk. I didn't pick any though, as we have a ton of deer and other wild critters around here and I could see that they'd been at them already, so for safety's sake, I left them where they were. It was sure fun to spot them all the same though.

    Big hugs,
