As promised last post, here is the second part of the fashion exhibit I went to with
Maria! A large part of this exhibit included the fashions of the 1970s - 90s (not my cup of tea as you know!) so the section of mid century fashion was not as vast as I would have liked but here are some of my favorite outfits and accessories. Both Maria and I were pretty tempted to grab those last two floral 60s dresses and make a run for it, aren't they just stunning?
This is pretty much my dream wardrobe!!!!I love all of the floral dresses. I'm too short to wear the flapper dresses, but I still want them lol.

Life of Mabel
I gasped aloud so many times as I scrawled through these endlessly fantastic images that Annie (my dog) started to bark (playfully) at me - I think she thought my gasps and squeals were the human equivalent of barking. If only she could understand why her human mommy was so endlessly enamoured! :)

I'd still be interested to see the 70s-90s stuff, but yeah these dresses would still be my favorites! Sounds like you really enjoyed the exhibit! Glad I could at least see the pictures!!
ReplyDeleteOh… my… vintage! So beautiful I have no words.

ReplyDeleteawesome! thanks for sharing! ... sadly the mannequins have such a modern hairdo ;)
ReplyDeleteThat black and floral dress with the sheer top is wonderful! I would wear that
ReplyDeleteYou had me at sequins and flapper dresses. I'm 70's hippy girl in real life - sequins don't cut in when running to the shops for milk. I am loving all of your posts. You are a girl after my own heart!

oh wow, everything is so beautiful!! i'd be tempted to run away with the whole exhibition, including all the old perfume bottles and little powder compacts. all the beadwork on the first few dresses is incredible, especially because it all would have been done by hand.
