Beach Pajama Dreams

Happy first day of spring to all you antipodeans - and autumn for everyone else! In my quest for 1930s beach pajamas I came across this jumpsuit on Asos which I feel is quite similar in style to those of the 30s and made of silky, flowing fabric. Authentic vintage beach pajamas from the 30s retail for around $500 online so this one which only cost $30 was quite a steal. I'm still hoping that a vintage reproduction designer comes along and starts making these, but I'm not holding my breath and will continue to be on the look out for modern jumpsuits with a 1930s feel.

  2. Wow I would have never thought that this jumpsuit is Asos! It looks like it's from one of those special labels that reproduce vintage fashion! The colours of the floral print look gorgeous with your hair and porcelaine skin! And you definitely have the va-va-voom figure for this cut too! ;)

Sending you some windy greeting from the Westcoast!

By the way I moved my blog over to a new domain with a new style an all.
Would be happy if you came to check it out if you find the time. :)

  4. This looks fantastic on you - such a good modern find. Asos come up with the good sometimes! I can't believe you're pulling off photos like this in what's technically still winter for you, and I think I've been able to wear something sleeveless about twice all 'summer' here! Jealousy!! x

  7. I would never have guessed that was from ASOS -although, having said that, I probably shouldn't be surprised because I've had quite a few retro-inspired pieces from there, too! The jumpsuit looks amazing on you - such a pretty print!

  10. That jumpsuit is amazing! As much as I love authentic vintage ASOS is still one of my favourite places to shop because you can always find clothes with a vintage feel to them and I'm not too nit-picky about when or where my clothes came from, as long as they suit my style and I feel happy wearing them. Also trying out something you've never really owned/worn before like this jumpsuit is much more reasonable with a $30 price tag!
